About

A small borough, tended by the people who love it.

The Glen Ridge Beautification Association is a volunteer-led 501(c) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the natural beauty and civic character of Glen Ridge, New Jersey.

Our mission

To beautify, steward, and bring neighbors together across the borough of Glen Ridge.

Our roots go back to 1934, when a group of neighbors organized as the South End Association to look after the southern end of the borough. Decades later, that same spirit of civic care evolved into the Glen Ridge Beautification Association we know today — broader in scope, but still powered entirely by neighbors who show up.

Since then, the GRBA has spent generations planting, pruning, and partnering with the borough on civic improvement projects across all of Glen Ridge.

Today, our volunteers tend gardens at gateways and triangles, host seasonal community events, recognize graduating students through our scholarship, and quietly leave Glen Ridge a little more beautiful than we found it.

We believe beautification is more than landscaping. It's an everyday practice of caring for shared space — and for one another.
